"The Great Jamaican Patty Company"
Mother's has long recognised that a vibrant marketing programme is a crucial success factor in the highly competitive fast food business. Over the years, we have sought to create unique and stimulating advertising campaigns and maintain a strong media presence. A prominent feature of our marketing campaign is the official Company slogan, "Wherever There's Mother's, There's Great Food Fast," developed in 1995. Mother’s has now positioned itself as "The Great Jamaican Patty Company", based on its extensive and innovative line of Patty products.
Mother’s commercials frequently combine colourful Jamaican personalities with infectious contemporary rhythms, communicating the message that Mother's is a fun experience for the whole family. One popular television commercial featured well-known model and Miss Universe Contest finalist Sandra Foster.
These efforts have been successful with customers and industry associates. The Company has won several prestigious awards, including the Golden Mike Award for its radio advertising.
The People of Mother's
Mother's human resources development programme is centred on the belief that employees are the Company's greatest assets, and that training should be continuous. Mother's actively recruits qualified, enthusiastic individuals, and devotes considerable resources to their development and advancement, mainly through in-house training.
Instructional sessions are supervised by a Training Officer, and guided by the policies developed by Mother's top managers for various key areas, for example, customer service and maintenance.
Managers and supervisors are required to regularly advise employees of their objectives and commend them on their achievements. A short 'pep talk' at the start of every day is one of many ways in which employees are motivated.

As a growing, performance-oriented company, Mother's has been quick to reward high achievers with promotions and increased job responsibilities. Many employees have worked their way up from entry level to supervisory and management positions. Mother's also seeks to retain and reward employees through productivity incentive schemes and award programmes, and by constantly upgrading the company’s benefits package.
To promote good employee relations, Mother's strives to maintain a fair and friendly, open-door policy, which allows staff members to air grievances, discuss challenges, and make recommendations freely.
Mother’s was the recipient of the prestigious PSOJ Job Creation Award in 2003.
