With the motto "Total Customer Satisfaction", another element to Motherís success is the strong emphasis on employee training and re-training, empowering employees to deliver "Total Customer Satisfaction" to each and every customer passing through our doors.
Because of the different levels of employees, training is geared towards providing each level with the tools required to do their job. There are training manuals and video tutorials on each area of restaurant operation, and then post-evaluation to see how well each employee has retained the knowledge.
Motherís strong emphasis on training realized the opening of a $2 million training center on October 2002, with state of the art facilities. The facility has since been upgraded and expanded and named the Robyn Foreman Training Center, in memory of one of the Companyís founding members and who conceptualized the facility.
Motherís employees are typically well sought by competitors because of the high level of training they receive.
As part of the franchise package, the Franchisee and staff will receive training at Motherís training facilities before opening, but Motherís will not be responsible for transportation, accommodation and expenses occurred during the training period.
The training period is typically 21 days for the Franchisee / manager, and 14 days for line staff.
Motherís has the strongest emphasis on people development through training, to deliver service beyond customer expectations.
The latest aspect to Motherís training program is the "Map to Management" program, which seeks to empower Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders through a series of advanced workshops, allowing them the ability to advance in skills and leadership necessary for moving up the ladder.
